Overall: A-
Over four hours long, this made for video movie strands two stepbrothers on Dinotopia, an island where humans and dinosaurs have learned to coexist. But when the only source of energy becomes endangered, the brothers discover the land's archaic laws and traditions prohibit finding a new solution to an old problem. Good character development and story are offered in this video that holds some tense perilous moments along with a dusting of mild profanities.

A plane crashes in the ocean, two occupants escape but the pilot is caught in his seatbelt. A dinosaur stomps through a village, swinging its tail and destroying things. People look for shelter during a dark and stormy night. A t-rex breaks through the roof of a room where people are staying. A man talks of people whom he fears are dead. Two men fight hand-to-hand with one eventually falling over a cliff into a waterfall. Crocodiles threaten people crossing a rickety bridge, another dinosaur character has his tail caught by a crocodile. People jump a deep gorge. A man readies a pistol. A man fires a flare gun. Prisoners are pursued by guards. Two men fight and punch each other, one man is shot in the leg. An underwater creature attacks a sub causing a man to die. A young boy is snatched by a flying creature. People have to swim a long dangerous distance.

A man explains that he and his brother were born months apart to different mothers because his father had a "very active social life." A woman wears a slightly revealing dress. A mention is made of dinosaurs mating. A man and woman are assumed to be skinny-dipping when seen in a river with bare shoulders, they also kiss.
